The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering supports thousands of missionaries across the U.S. and Canada. When you give to Annie Armstrong, people hear the gospel who would never have a chance to hear the gospel. Annie Armstrong Easter Offering gifts are administered through the North American Mission Board of The Southern Baptist Convention.
MMO.Missouri Baptists gave more than $900,000 to state missions through the Rheubin L. South Missouri Missions Offering (MMO), continuing a decade-long trend of rising financial support to statewide projects ranging from foster care to prison ministry.
MMO receipts in 2023, which are disbursed in 2024, totaled $926,010, far outpacing the goal of $750,000.
Further, 2023 marked the 11th straight year of MMO receipts above $700,000. The number of churches contributing to MMO rose slightly to 692, up from 679 the previous year.
Missouri Baptists responded enthusiastically to the MMO theme of Romans 10:15, in which the apostle Paul exclaims, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.”
Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world’s greatest problem — LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for a greater missionary presence.
She pleaded for increased prayer and financial support to send and sustain more missionaries. This challenge became known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering®.
